Beware of Those who Scam Entrepreneurs

Updated: Aug 23, 2019

While you are buckling down and burning the candles on both ends, you will be approached by those who offer to help you raise money or enhance your operation. They ask to get on your Board of Directors and guide you through the process of expansion. They ask for equity in your company and offer to raise money by connecting you with investors for small fees. They claim that they have great contacts and know people who know people.

Beware that these people have blood on their hands. They belong to networks of operators who scam entrepreneurs for money and equity. They recognize that you’re desperate and they take advantage of your mental burnout and emotional vulnerabilities. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, most likely it’s a scam. Recognize these scums and embarrass them in epic ways.
